AP Studio Art: Drawing and 2D Design
The AP Program in Studio Art 2D Design or
Drawing is an introductory college course intended for highly motivated students who are
seriously interested in the study of art.
This advanced level art course is equivalent to a first year college art
class. All students are expected to challenge themselves and develop mastery in
ideas, skills and abilities in 2D design. It promotes a sustained investigation
of all three aspects of portfolio development: quality, concentration and
breadth and that meet the requirements of the AP Studio Art: 2D design or
drawing. The culmination of these two classes is submission of a portfolio to
the AP College Board for college credit.
